RUFF RUFF

My dogs are barking! Today I walked to and from the boutique (3 miles each way) and my poor feet are not use to it...the walking yes, but the working on my feet all day (in addition) 'no'. It does feel good to be back on the road again, instead of tooling around in the car or vespa.

I spent the evening with the folks (well, an hour). I hope I will be able to do that more often once the boutique is going strong and I have more help working it.

I am thinking of making a tunic top/skirt and having Ruth Allen screen print her birds on it. There is a lot involved in it, but I think they would sell well. I do miss sewing. My machine has been broken for the last 2 months and I haven't had time to take it in to be fixed. I can alway drop by mom's and use hers. It might be fun to bond with her over sewing. It has been a long time since we have done that.

Pipper

This is Brain's (yes, Brain...teehee) little niece. She is a few months older now, but still as cute as a button and as quiet as a mouse. I don't think I have heard her cry once. She is a cute little red head like her uncle and his uncle's girlfriend's best friend. jajajaja...you know who you are.

Everyone will be happy to know (or not) that I am getting better and due to this in a much happier state of mind. I am laughing a lot more (thank God) and my energy level is getting back to normal. I think the early nights are helping as well. I am finally able to get to bed before 1am and it is really showing (or not...the rings under my eyes seem to be fading).

Rain or Shine

If I didn't know better I would think it is winter outside. The past three days have been colder then it has been since November and rainy. It was hard to get out of bed and get moving, but I still managed to wash dishes and gather up products to take to the boutique before heading out of the house for work. I feared that I wouldn't have a customer in this weather, but it is busier then I expected...not a lot of sales, but interest and I am sure return customers. Every visit counts at this point and I am keeping my thoughts positive for sucess.

I had dinner with Lee and we caught up in conversation about his trip to Belize, had a couple of drinks and then it was home to do a little work and cuddling with the puppies while watching NCIS before bed. It is good to have mindless television after all the work I have been doing.

I am still suffering from from a terrilbe cold or allergies...I still can't decide, but I am getting REALLy tired of being kept up with coughing every night. I pray for its end, even when it seems like it is never going to. It is getting to the point that I can't take it anymore, but I keep pushing through...damn it.

20 Days

In twenty days Brian will be back in Athens and living with me. I am very excited to finally close that gap which has been between us for so long...distance. The journey in the next twenty days will be as exciting and fun as the twenty days of Candana Yatra .

Today was the first full day the boutique was open and the first day I arrived home by 6.30pm in a very long time. I was able to get paper work caught up on and do a little correspondence with artist before 10pm. Now that things are settled down for the night and the dogs are sleeping I think it is time to order a pizza and watch a little Star Wars on Spike television.
