Ridding!

It may not be much, but I try to ride my bike to work at least 3 times a week. It is a start. It is the 104 degrees at 4pm that gets you. This summer has been hotter then ever and earlier then other years. I am not looking forward to what August may bring.

Other then that, I have spent the last 4 days alone with the dogs. Brian is in Atlanta helping his brother clean out their fathers home and catching up on QT with his nephew, Harper.

I should be wrapping up the cleaning i started early this morning instead of sitting here playing on the computer, but for some reason this seems to help with this strange sense of loneliness I have been feeling for the past couple of days.

I never have live a life without sin
I doubt at this point I will ever begin
So I will hope my breath to that final day
And hope that “The Man” will give me my way

Ugly Mug

I get 3 days off of work this week! Well, I don't have to work at the boutique, but I still have lots to do. Brian and I drove to Atlanta yesterday to speak with the Dean of his school, visit a retail equipment dealer and eat at our favorite Greek cafe.

On Friday We will be starting a collaboration on a film project with Mark. It will be the third film I have worked on with Mark, but Brian's first. The exciting thing is that Brian and I will be acting in this one...if everything goes as planned. I will be playing Don Valquez and Brian will be Colonel Cobb.

In Loving Memory

This is the poem that Brian read at his father's funeral a couple of weeks ago. It was very moving to see such a strong powerful man read something so beautiful in honor of his loving and caring father.

{I live my life in widening rings}
by Rainer Maria Rilke

I live my life in widening rings
which spread over earth and sky.
I may not ever complete the last one,
but that is what i will try.

I circle around God, the primordial tower, and I
circle ten thousand years long:
and I still don't know if I am a falcon, a storm
or an unfinished song.
